As the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is changing how businesses and charities hold data, this document offers some guidance on how the Caravan drop-in and counselling service manages any information we have about you.
As someone who is or has previously been a volunteer therapist, or on the backup list for the caravan, or who has been seen in the caravan as a contract client, or is a general supporter of the caravan, you have previously been added to our list in order for us to be able to provide the service you signed up for. On that basis, there is a legitimate interest for us to hold your information to contact you with news about the Caravan and to be able to offer you the services you have signed up for.
If you are happy with this and wish to continue to receive information from us, you don’t need to do anything. If you wish to be removed from our list, then please let us know by emailing or writing to us at the address above, and asking to be removed. If you are a current or recent volunteer or user of our services, we may have a legal requirement to hold your information for a period of time.
We will get in touch after you have ended your relationship with the caravan to give you an option to stay in contact with us, or to let you know that we are removing your information from our list.
The Caravan provides a student therapy placement, and is part of the CCPE (Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy education). We abide by the CCPE GDPR policy, which can be found here (http://ccpe.org.uk/?page_id=1248)
